My Jewish friend in the USA challenged me to find the translation!! I did the same to her with Scots Gaelic!!

This is not very good Hebrew, but I think my translation is what you were looking for. A somewhat more correct and grammatical version would be: v'gam ani ohevet otkha. Kol roshi (?) v'rukhi holkhim itkha. Asara yamim. Your sentence would mean "and I (male) love you (male) too. My whole mind (head) and spirit go away. Ten days....(the "go away" is in the infinitive here)

agree  John Kinory (X): How do we know the friend is female, as your 'ohevet' implies??? Roshi=my head; perhaps it should be 'nafshi' for 'soul'.Otherwise, you did an excellent job with poor materials.

  -> Because he says so, that's how. (My Jewish friend in the USA challenged me to find the translation!! I did the same to her with Scots Gaelic!!) I assumed she meant mind, even though she said head. Nafshi for soul would be a definite improvement.

agree  eliuri: The translation is certainly more elegant and grammatical than the original...Except that I had thought that "roshi ve-ruchi lecha..lecha.." had been intended. Meaning: My mind and spirit are [devoted] to you..to you...[possibly lyrics to a pop song?]
