Can you say this to a male from a female? (or is this the version from a male to a female?) I want to say it to a boy..and I am a girl.. but I want to say it right. :)

This is the correct form when speaking to a male.

If you were speaking to a female, you would need to say, "Tishmeri al azmech" - תשמרי על עצמך. Note that without diacritics, the last word when written in Hebrew looks the same for male or female, but sounds different.
