वह कञचे खेल रहा है. गङगा एक पवित्र नदी है..

Explanation:
(sorry I do not have facility to type these two half vowels, I just pasted them)

The seperate nasal sound is represented by the panchamaakshar (fifth letter) of the group to which the letter just following it belongs. e.g. for क- group, it is ङ and for च- group it is ञ . Now as a standard adopted these are represented by anuswaar.

Example sentence(s):
  • वह कञचे खेल रहा है. .
  • गङगा एक पवित्र नदी है.

disagree  vinod sharma: इन दोनों शब्दों में ङ और ञ का हलन्त रूप प्रयोग किया जाना चाहिए था

  -> I already mentioned that I do not have facility to type these 2 letters so I cut pasted them, I said sorry for wrong typing, but this fact was ignored while giving 'peer' comment, ignoring the explanation given by me. Not at all fair.

agree  amarpaul: वह कञ्चे खेल रहा है. . गङ्गा एक पवित्र नदी है. At least the negative mark will be neutralised :-)

  -> Thanks. I do not participate for marks. Just wanted to share the principle behind the use.

agree  Shera Lyn Parpia: correct explanation.

agree  PRAKAASH: Nowadays, the grammar rule that you've mentioned, is specifically used only in Sanskrit language and is mentioned in SiddhantaKaumudi-the grammar rule book used since ages. Sanskrit is mother-language of Hindi. However, practically, only anusvar is used instead of these fifth letters of specific groups i.e. ङ् (kavarga) ञ् (chavarga) ण् (टवर्ग tavarga) न् (तवर्ग Tavaga) म् (पवर्ग pavarga)
