Hindi term or phrase: EKA-DO
Hello there!

I am translating a Canadian novel from English into Italian. Setting: Indian family in Kenya, Mau Mau revolution.

In this passage, the grandfather, called "dadaji", tells a scary story about lions to his grandchildren.

This is the punch line: "And on the ground, leading to the bushes, is a trail left by his body - the poor fellow's feet - and a few, eka-do drops of blood".

What is "eka-do"? Is it just an onomatopoeia? Or is it Hindi?

Thanks a lot for your help,
Giusi :-)
