Hungarian term or phrase: Nemzetkozi Rendeszeti Academia vendege
I am translating a long project, which includes an Access Permit card in Hungarian. The card holder participated in a course sponsored by ILEA (International Law Enforcement Academy.) The above sentence is part of that card.

An invitee of the International Law Enforcement Academy

Explanation:
If the cardholder was a participant, he was not a guest (vendég). He was an invitee.

neutral  Katalin Horvath McClure: This is an access card. Access level designations often use "guest", I have never heard "invitee" in that context. OTOH, there is a word for "invitee" in Hungarian: "meghívott", which they did not use. This person may be a true "guest", expenses paid, etc

neutral  Ildiko Santana: The question posted is from Hungarian into English, the last word of the source text being "vendége". A participant of a course but still "vendég". I see nothing wrong with saying "guest" but nothing indicates (s)he was an "invitee" ("meghívott').
