neutral  Ildiko Santana: Akkor vajon hogyan fordítható az alábbi szöveg, ahol egy bekezdésen belül mind nyílt színi, mind spontán taps szerepel: "bravúros rögtönzéssel, nyílt színi tapsot aratva mentette meg a helyzetet, (...) a második spontán taps is végigsöpört a nézõtéren..."

Explanation:
Nyílt színi tapsról (vagy nyíltszíni tapsról) szerintem akkor beszélünk, amikor a közönség elismerését egy színpadi jelenet közepén és nem a végén fejezi ki, illetve beszélhetünk még nyílt színi tapsról más előadás, beszéd, sőt film esetében is. A hagyományos íratlan konvenciók szerint a közönség egy-egy darab, illetve jelenet ("szín" -- "scene") végén tapsol, de kivételes esetben a pozitív reakció olyan erős, hogy az adott előadás szakaszt megszakítva tör ki. Angolul szerintem ezt "mid-scene applause"-nak nevezik, azaz szószerinti fordításban "taps a szín közepén".

"Five minutes into the show, Thursday's audience launched into mid-scene applause for the first musical number by the chorus girls."

A teljes idézett mondatot "Talán nem szerénytelenség, ha azt mondom nagy sikerünk volt, hiszen nyílt színi tapsot kaptunk!" én így fordítanám:
"I may say without immodesty that we had great success, for we received mid-scene applause!"

neutral  Katalin Horvath McClure: Ez már denny válaszában is olvasható volt.

  -> Denny egyertelmuen "spontaneous applause" mellett voksolt (elgepelve), ami szerintem magyarul "spontan taps". Beirtam, hogy szerintem mi a helyes forditas (mid-scene applause). Fenti megjegyzesed nem segit a kerdezonek a helyes forditas kivalasztasaban.
