Egyrészt alternatívaként hozzáteszem még ezt a rövidebb variánst: "as amended to date". Másrészt küldök pár példát:

Tulajdonképpen nincs komoly különbség a két kifejezés között. A "several times" egyértelműen utal arra, hogy nem csak egyszer, hanem többször módosították. Időhatározót is könnyebb hozzá tenni; amended several times "in the last five years", vagy: since 1999. Nem csak fordításban fordul elő.
Juvera írja: "ha pedig csak megemlítik, hogy felkeltsék a figyelmet.." Ennek jogszabályok vonatkozásában nem látom sem valószínűségét, sem értelmét. A kérdéses kitételnek súlya van, indoka és célja a jövőbeni esetleges visszaélések és kiskapuk elkerülése. A "several times" szószerinti forma, amivel eddig csak fordításokban találkoztam, de eredeti angol nyelvű jogszabályban nem, és elbeszélő stílusban, utólagos utalásként elmegy, de itt szerintem helytelen lenne.
Ha a szóbanforgó szöveg maga a törvény vagy más hasonló hivatalos szöveg, akkor illenék a módosításokat, vagy legalább a legutolsót pontosan feltüntetni, dátumozni.
