Az adott mondatot fordítottam le, mert nagyon jó példa ennek a problémának az illusztrálására. Angolul egyszerűen így mondanák, a "you" csak stílus vagy szövegkörnyezet kérdése.
A fear szó nem igazán illik ide. Azzal a mondatot így kellene írni:
"don't have to fear for the forest because of the forester", de ennek az értelme pont az ellenkezője: azért nem kell aggódni az erdőért, mert ott az erdész (aki törődik vele).

Ha a fear szót akarnánk ilyen értelemben használni, lehetne így is írni:
You don't have to fear for the forest from the forester.
Nyelvtanilag helyes, de gyakorlatban nem használnák, mert nem hangzik jól, megakad rajta a gondolatmenet.
"Clumsy", mondaná az angol, nem is beszélve az fffff szavak sorozatának kiejtéséről. (Nem gorombáskodom, nem kell félreérteni .-) |

A kérdésben ellentmondás van.
"félteni valakit VALAMITŐL
Nem kell félteni az erdőt az erdésztől." - az erdő nem valaki, az erdész nem valami. Tehát a példához illeszkedő kérdés: félteni valamit valakitől.
NB Juvera megoldása teljesen megfelel, de megkerüli a kérdést. SJ megoldása zavaros, de rátapint a lényegre: a worry szó a lényeg.
Összefoglalva: félni - fear, félteni - worry, bár a dolog nem ilyen egyszerű. Pl.
I fear for my life, I worry about you. Féltem az életemet, féltelek.
