Kedveskedő megszólítás, idősebb nő szólít így egy sokkal fiatalabb férfit, aki nem a fia és nincs közöttük közelebbi kapcsolat, csak szimpátia:
"Tudja, John fiam, maga nagyon rendes..."
Mondhajtuk erre, hogy "my son"?
Van-e valamilyen különbség aszerint, hogy az idősebb ember nő vagy férfi?
