Érdekes a "retroactive" és a "retrospective" közötti különbség. A szótár szerint mindkettő jelentése "visszamenőleges", viszont úgy látszik angolul némi különbség van a kettő között:

Megtaláltam a saját kérdésemre a választ:

"...nem vették figyelembe a visszaható (retroactive) és a visszatekintő (retrospective) jogszabályok - rendszerint elhanyagolt, de korántsem jelentéktelen - különbségét."

A továbbiakban pedig megmagyarázza a különbséget (9. oldal utolsó előtti bekezdése:

Bár ettől nem lettünk sokkal okosabbak, mert még mindig nem tudjuk, hogy melyik angol kifejezésnek van pontosan "visszamenőleges" jelentése. Lehet, hogy a "visszamenőleges" mind a kettő jelentését fedi és ezen belül létezik a "visszaható" és a "visszatekintő"? Akkor viszont felmerül a kérdés, hogy angolul is létezik-e egy harmadik fogalom a "visszamenőleges" pontos fordítására?

agree  juvera: Beletaláltál, (szótár ide vagy oda) a visszamenőleges hatály a retrospecive, míg a retroactive a visszaható.
