Az angol nyelvben egy adat lehet érvényes (valid), valós (true), jelenlegi (current) és még sok minden egyéb, de a magyar "hatályos" ebben az összefüggésben angolul nem értelmezhető. Jogszabályra, előírásra, stb.re használható, hogy "in force" vagy "effective/in effect" de adatra ezek túl "erősek" lennének. Sajnálatos, hogy a szövegkörnyezet csak indirekt módon érkezett és nem a kérdezőtől, de ha valóban az idézett rész a kérdés, akkor ezt egyszerűen úgy fordítanám, hogy "... company data on September 18 ..."
