Csak annyi tennék még hozzá, hogy a hiánypótlási eljárás gyakorlatilag erről szól angolul:
A procedure whereby an authority is requesting additional data or information if the data submitted is insufficient or inadequate.
Azonban jogi fordítások során én a saját gyakorlatomban lehetőség szerint mindig megpróbálok szó szerint idézni a hivatkozott jogszabályokból, függetlenül attól, hogy az adott hivatalos fordítással személy szerint egyetértek-e vagy sem. Amennyiben a szövegek egyeztetésére sor kerülne, legjobb, ha a jogászok már megjelent anyagokat vitatnak meg, és nem az én - személyes preferencián alapuló - fordításaimat. Vagyis ilyen esetekben szerintem ésszerűbb megoldás a saját fordítási megoldásainkat kicsit háttérbe szorítani, és helyettük inkább az adott jogszabályok már létező fordításait felhasználni. Mindez persze csak a magánvéleményem. :)
többféleképpen is fordítják a "hiánypótlás" szót: "correction of deficiencies", "to rectify the deficiencies", és szerepel még a "to supply missing information".
