Olvasgattam. Ez a fajta "betegség" pl.: a hangszerek ólomból készült részeit is megtámadhatja. Lehet javítani, elhárítani, csak angolul nem találom sehol. |

Az ólompestisnek nincs ilyen kifejező angol megfelelője.
A fenti két szó utal rá. A pitting a korrózió hatására jön létre, de azt hiszem, hogy a magyar szó, ólompestis erre a jelenségre utal.

A tin plague létezik az angol nyelvben, de a lead plague nem igazán. (Beletörne a nyelvük :-). Az ólompestis valamikor, valahol már előfordult olvasmányaimban, nem lepődtem meg tőle. Most megnéztem a Google-ben; egy zongorista és a Janus Pannonius múzeum egyik restorátora használta a szóösszetételt. Nem hinném, hogy ők az angol Military Miniatures Magazine lapjait forgatnák.
Valószínűleg valamikor ősidőkben került át és keveredett össze, de nem lenne jó "visszafordítani".
