Explanation: UK angolban a "freehold property" jelenti az épületet és a hozzá tartozó telket, tehát ezt nem kell külön megemlíteni.
(Ha a föld nem tartozik hozzá, akkor nem freehold, hanem leasehold, vagyis bért kell fizetni "ground rent"-et a föld tulajdonosának, és a szerződés a föld használatára x évre, - ami lehet 1000 év is - van kötve. Ha az ilyen lakást/házat eladják, akkor az eladási szerződést a föld tulajdonosának jóvá kell hagyni, és a földre vonatkozólag ő feltehet más feltételeket is, bár az elég ritka, de pl. lehet, hogy felajánlja a megvételét.)
Lakásoknál ha többlakásos épületről van szó, a tulajdonosok megosztoznak a földtulajdonon, és akkor common holdról beszélnek:

További megjegyzés, Finbar hozzászólására: mivel az angol "freehold property" magában foglalja a beépített ingatlant és az ahhoz tartozó földrészt, magyarul kicsit rövidnek tűnik, mint ahogy a magyar látszólag többet jelent angol fülnek: mintha az adott ingatlanhoz egy másik terület/telek is tartozna.
Ha ez lenne a helyzet, akkor magyarul:
a beépített ingatlan és az ahhoz tartozó földrészlet, és a hozzá csatlakozó, leválasztható építési telek (vagy valami hasonló megfogalmazás),
ami angolul:
the freehold property incorporating a building plot which can be separated.
Ami gyakran előfordul: freehold property with a large plot, suitable for separate development, de ez még mindig azt jelenti, hogy az eredeti telek, amely az épülethez tartozik, olyan nagy, hogy le lehet választani belőle és a leválasztott terület elég nagy és alkalmas egy új épület (ház) építésére.
