agree  juvera: A "kivárásra rendezkedtek be" nekem is azt jelenti, hogy kivárják a végét, és utána mozdulnak. Nálunk így mondják: prepared to sit it out.

  -> Igen, szerintem is az van benne, hogy már eldöntötték, hogy kivárják a végét, nem arról van szó, hogy most egyelőre várunk, aztán "majd meglátjuk". A "sit it out" is jó.
