107:26 Lísibet kveikti og bað fyrir sér, þegar hún sá, hvað
107:27 fósturdóttir hennar var föl. "Blessað barnið!" Þú verður
107:28 að hátta hjá mér. Þitt rúm er svo kalt. En þú, Jón minn,
107:29 skalt fá þér eitthvað að borða frammi í búri, áður en þú

turned on the light and prayed silently
Explanation:
"Að biðja fyrir einhverjum" means to pray for someone, but it doesn´t make much sense to me that she would pray for herself instead of praying for her foster daughter. Therefore I would guess it means she turned on the light and prayed silently when she saw how pale her foster daughter was.

Many thanks Birgir - I think that what threw me was the lack of an object with KVEIKJA.
