Icelandic to English translations [Non-PRO]
General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
Icelandic term or phrase: mörg skemmtilegt
Actually, the whole sentence I'd like translated is:

"mörg skemmtilegt, þú ert eins og ég; ég hlakka til að koma til Íslands yfir hátíðarnar líka"

I know this is perhaps basic Icelandic, but I don't know where else to ask for help. It doesn't help that this is (I think) not entirely grammatically correct Icelandic.

Sorry for such a non-PRO question, but I hope someone can help. And please do translate the whole sentence. Thank you!!

English translation:lots of fun things
Explanation:
It could also be that he means 'margt skemmtilegt' i.e. lots of fun things.
then the whole thing would be: "lots of fun things, you are like me: I also look forward to coming to Iceland for the holidays."

A rough translation would be:

"I didn't know you speak Icelandic, very nice; I understand that you are planning on going to Iceland, but isn't it true that you haven't been there before?"

However, since the grammar is atrocious this is the best I can do.

Very funny

Explanation:
Hi. You're right, the grammar is messed on this, but I assume he means this. Literally he's saying "a lot of funny". You can try to figure out just what the hell he means by that.
