"Bartskeri" is a barber (depending on how old the text is, he could also have been a sort of unlicenced doctor-barber who not only cut hair and trimmed beards, but who also attended to people's small wounds and illnesses); Irm I can not find in any dictionary; "hreppstjóri" is the head of a small administrative unit called "hreppur" (roughly the same as a county), he is the captain of the police in the area and formerly he would also have been a judge; "lögmanni" is the dative of "lögmaður" which means lawyer; "sem er erfitt vegna aldurs" means "which is hard because of [his/her/it's] age; "fremra" is a (neutral gender) word that indicates something that is in front of or better than something else or nearer to the speaker - it is often found in farm names; the Icelandic characters in the last word are too messed up for me to read.
