Indonesian term or phrase: hak gadai
This is a right over a share (shares). (The party has the "hak gadai" over the shares.)

Explanation:
Hallo Pak Sugeng,

Istilahnya dalam Bhs. Inggris memang begini.

Pada umumnya, istilahnya berarti "A legal right or interest that a creditor has in another's property, lasting usu. until a debt or duty that it secures is satisfied."

Salam hormat,

mark

Now what to make of it..I've often used www.seasite.niu.edu/Indonesian, but the site seems to be down right now. They offer (I just have not gotten around to it yet) a download (3.3 MG) of an Indonesian > English dictionary.

Good luck!

agree  N Adri -: this term is well known in land law for interest of land. It could be 'right of pawn', right of pledge', letter of lien' ... like Mike and Eldira said.

put option

Explanation:
I think (guess?) this may refer to what in English financial and stock market parlance relates to option trading, that is a payment made to have the right to sell specific shares at some time (usually three months, I think) in the future but at today's price. It is referred to as a "put option". The parallel buying option is called a "call option". I suggest this because it is a bit like having a pawn ticket to reclaim property at some future date.
