There are several level of mining rights in Indonesia:

=kuasa pertambangan penyelidikan umum = mining general survey right
=kuasa pertambangan eksplorasi = mining exploration right
=kuasa pertambangan eksploitasi = mining exploitation right.

"General survey right" allows you to take preliminary sampling of the minerals to determine indicative size of reserve.

"Exploration right" allows you to have extensive sampling and analysis of the potential area.

"Exploitation right" allows you to dig out the minerals.
