Term found in a course handbook, listing the subjects in a "Ragioneria Generale e Applicata" course. Thank in advance for your help, luke

The term is extremely rare (almost non existent) in Italian:

It is used here as an obscure management accounting term:
http://www.accademiaaidea.it/downloads/Ias/c7.pdf

I could be short for valutazione di capitale d'esercizio (valuation of working capital)
or for valutazione di reddito di esercizio (valuation of operating profit)

Alternatively "esercizio" could be intended in the sense of a year, in which case you have annual valuations (of assets).
