Italian to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Accounting / report on financing of an airport in Italy
Italian term or phrase: rilascio risconti passivi
"Ricavi ed EBITDA presentati al netto del rilascio risconti passivi".

I believe risconti passivi can be translated by deferred income so would translate this as "Revenues and EBITDA presented net of ... deferred income" but I don't know what is meant by "rilascio". Thanks in advance for any help.

release of deferred liabilities
Explanation:
"deferred liability" is a little more generic than deferred income. When you receive a payment in advance, you recognise it as a liability because it represents the goods or work which you owe. When you deliver the good or the work then the liability is released and you can recognise it as income earned. However the term only seems to appear on the balance sheets of a couple of airports in Italy and seems to relate to government grants which for some reason are recognised as liabiilites until they are "used" and become revenues. Hence the more generic "deferrred liabilities".

La voce maggiormente significativa è riferita ai proventi diversi che includono il rilascio a conto economico, in quote costanti e per la vita utile del bene, dei contributi ricevuti pari al 6% del valore delle opere e riscontati per intero fino al completamento, nonché altri contributi pubblici ottenuti per l’acquisto di impianti specifici (specialmente impianti radiogeni).
