disagree  Giovanna De Gennaro: "The Italian phrase, "chiudono gli orfanotrofi" is not in the imperative, it is a statement made in the third person and the translation needs to render this by sayiing, "The orphanages are closing" not "Close the orphanages"-

  -> Maybe this wasn't a literal translation? There was no context and a slogan was required. Mine is not the only answer sing the imperative so you might like to comment on the rest?

You might as well put the official name... it's on the Chicco website. http://www.chicco.com/hp.asp

Although Chicco themselves seem to be a little confused, as on the same page it says : “Close the institutes, let’s open families”

The name is also misleading, it's not talking about real families but "family houses".
