Marketing - Advertising / Public Relations / point-of-sale displays
Italian term or phrase: Banner autoportante e stendardi in versione verticale e orizzontale
The phrase comes from a list of display/publicity accessories supplied by a dealer to points of sale. The accompanying illustrations show the "banner" as being a vertical banner on two rods attached to a vertical pole while the vertical and horizontal "stendardi" are identical, also with two rods top and bottom, but this time hanging. I would have translated both as "banners" but the phrase (recurrent with slight variations) becomes incomprehensible. Can anyone help out? Thanks in advance, Sarah

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks for your help, but after long "negotiations" with the clients, they informed me that the "banner" and "stendardo" were simply two words for the same thing :-(, so the problem was resolved.

agree  Kaiserina: But put "pennants" or "pennons" instead of "standards". "Standard" has military or heraldry connotations, I think.
