While I agree with sarahca that you could leave fuori salone in Italian, "fringe/collateral events running alongside the fair" could be an alternative if you prefer.

this is the other side of the Salone del Mobile - the part as you rightly say is located off-site, in various galleries, stores and warehouses around Milan. It can include anything from shop/collection launches to excuses for great parties. Anybody who comes to the Salone from outside Italy, knows it simply as the Fuori Salone.

Explanation:
more than 7 thousand fringe events. OK its not the Edinburgh festival. You also have "on the fringe". Yes they do mean off site events. I feel sure I've translated a similar phrase regularly for years now about the Salone del Mobile.
