neutral  Barbara Toffolon: I hate to be the odd one out, however in current language "Void" is not commonly used to express this fear. I agree that as a medical term it is probably correct...but it is not always what is requested. I think "heights" is more common. :-)

neutral  Michael Korovkin: I agree with Barbara, except that the term (lovely in itself) is not really medical, but being highly philosophically and poetically charged doesn't look too fitting in this rather mundane context.

neutral  Ivana UK: with Barbara and Michael - it's far more likely to be about fear of open spaces (agorophobia) //you're right, it's not agorafphobia - seems to refer to 'kenophobia' - fear of empty spaces (chenofobia in Italian)
16 hrs
-> If that were the case, the italian would have have said "paura dello spazio" which is a legitimate expression, but has different connotations.

Fear of height(s)

Explanation:

10 hrs
-> my thoughts exactly. Thanks, Barbara!

disagree  Oliver Lawrence: I think 'vertigini' and 'paura del vuoto' are different things here, and an element of philosophical and poetic charge is appropriate in publicity material for a rather mysterious new show
11 hrs
-> may well be, but i still think that fear of the void is too heavy for this
