"Ci sono giorni in cui vorrei che il tempo rallentasse per avere più spazio per ciò a cui tengo di più. A volte non riesco ad assaporare appieno certe emozioni e a godere della compagnia delle persone per me veramente importanti. Questi momenti che meriterebbero più tempo, invece volano via."
Any ideas on how to turn this into something that sounds halfway natural in English? It's beaten me for the moment. Thanks! |

Not strictly literal, but I sometimes feel wary about 'emozioni' (the word, that is), as the Italians use it more often than we use its most direct equivalent. HTH, anyway. Of course, this offering would probably require an alternative for 'momenti' later in the paragraph to avoid repetition. I don't get the impression that the original means that there are some particular emotions which are problematic, just the way they come up in their particular lifestyle.
