Italian to English translations [PRO] Advertising / Public Relations / Watches | | Italian term or phrase: divenire | Talking about a Jaeger-leCoultre watch: Testimone di un’epoca scolorita dal tempo, questo modello inimitabile nella sua disarmante semplicità continua a sorprendere per quell’aria di vaga nonchalance, permeata di un’immutabilità perenne nel suo costante divenire, al passo con i costanti aggiornamenti di una ricerca (quasi) premurosa.
Not sure what they mean by divenire here. Thanks! |

Explanation: "its constant timelessness" divenire, just means going into the future. The idea is that although it comes from a time "scolorita dal tempo" (it is ancient) it still looks fantastic today and will continue looking fantastic well into the future. But quite apart from all that, "constant timelessness" sounds pretty good to me and might just sell the watch all by itself.
