I have found the term polishing used on a few web sites. In fairness tothe others it does say that this proces is done in practice by filtration, but the terms remains as it is.

L'ultima fase del processo di raffinazione è la brillantatura che consente , tramite una ulteriore fase di filtrazione, di eliminare qualsiasi sostanza estranea ed ottenere un aspetto particolarmente limpido e brillante. L'olio in uscita viene insufflato di azoto per proteggerlo dalle ossidazioni e stoccato in appositi serbatoi d'acciaio inox posti all'interno di una struttura a temperatura costante di circa 20°.

La chiarificazione è la prima filtrazione, quella che segue l\'estrazione, la brillantatura è una filtrazione successiva, proprio l\'ultimo passaggio della filtrazione.
