Explanation:
I believe this refers to the different agricultural uses that farmland is used for, the 'artorio' referring to plowable land, ie the growing of vegetable crops, the 'erborato' to ground covered with grasses, ie pasture for grazing livestock (cattle, sheep primarily), and the 'vitato' to vines, ie wine growing.
The wine cultivation part above may be the weakest link in my suggested translation, so someone might suggest a better way of saying that.
