I think in context you may be able to just put walnut size; I think the term fruitlet is usually used for earlier stages of the fruit formation

when the fruits are walnut-sized or walnut size - but not possible perhaps in your text

I'm not sure this is what you're looking for, as the term is quite misleading. Hence the low con. level.

The closest thing that comes to mind is 'drupe' ('any fleshy or pulpy fruit enclosing a stone containing one or a few seeds, e.g. an olive, plum, or peach', Oxford Dict.), also called 'stone fruit'.
