Italian to English translations [PRO] Science - Agriculture | | Italian term or phrase: prose pacciamate | Hi,
I am translating a report about the effects of soil decontamination treatment and I am struggling with the meaning of 'prose pacciamate'.
It appears several times throughout the text:
Dati relativi alla coltivazione
sistema di allevamento – su prosa pacciamata 1
sistema di distribuzione adottato – iniezione a freddo nel terreno a profondità di 25-30 cm mediante impiego di un tiller portato da trattrice cingolata, dotato di due falcioni tra loro distanti 40 cm, accoppiato a pacciamatore in grado di costituire una prosa di 80 cm di larghezza.
....Durante l’effettuazione dei trattamenti sono state, pertanto, costituite prose pacciamate tra loro parallele e distanti non meno di 80 cm.
