Italian term or phrase: edificio a ponte

From a document listing types of building. The only real type of context I have is the part of the sentence following "edificio a ponte", i.e. on two levels (S1) with a total gross useful surface area of 2000 m2.

this seems to be what they are called, depending on how high they are or if they are just a means for people to walk between the two buildings at an upper level (skywalk or skyway like Petronas Towers in Malaysia).
Or else just spell it out as a two-storey suspended connector building (linking the other two buildings). Do you have a picture?
