La veduta è animata da svariate figure e colla inserzione di alcuni capanni con tende. Sin da un primo esame essa è inquadrabile nello stretto ambito del Canaletto, in quanto mostra di esplicarne coerentemente l’insegnamento. Cioè quella sua capacità di trasferire oggettivamente sulla tela vasti brani della realtà, per mezzo di lucide scatole prospettiche, inserite in una armoniosa e vitale spazialità, grazie a una profonda sensibilità luministica, affinata ed esercitata direttamente sul rappresentato.
