Italian to English translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Art, Arts & Crafts, Painting / description | | Italian term or phrase: Questo bianco cilindro salendo si scompone | the entire sentence: "Anche la colonna di XXX ricorda un passato di cui sono rimaste solo le fondamenta. Questo bianco cilindro *salendo si scompone* come se venisse tagliato a fette e, nell’estremità più alta, invece che un capitello vi è una lamina d’oro"
I'm having a hard time in finding the best translation for this sentence. It basically means that, ascending from the lower part to the higher extremity, it kind of loses pieces. I don't even have the picture or could I find it on internet.
Unfortunately there's no more context I can provide. Any help appreciated. Thanks
