how would you translate this sentence in a nice way? I have some ideas but neither sounds too good...:D

Yes, good point, then I would stick with "twist" which gives the same sense and is very widely used.

Asker: But then "takes up" should be replaced or 'take' would be repeated if used instead of twist...:D
