As ever, correct translations depend on context. There are various written 'presentations' of books on the internet, but a social gathering where a book is promoted is prevalently called a launch (though there are various instances of the word 'presentation' being used for them, they are mostly non-mother tongue users). An Italian translator who finds 'presentation of book' will know from context whether it is a written presentation, a book launch or what, and will translate accordingly. In ogni caso, se non erro, "presentazione del libro" copre sia un'introduzione, una presentazione scritta, che la promozione in libreria o altrove. Senza offesa, è per questo che si tende ad usare traduttori madrelingua e non solo linguisti esperti....... e le macchine non potranno mai sostituirsi al nostro cervello (I hope!) |
