A collage may include newspaper clippings, ribbons, bits of colored or hand-made papers, portions of other artwork, photographs and other found objects, glued to a piece of paper or canvas. This term is traditionally the name given to pictures which have been assembled with a variety of objects, along with direct painting on the background sometimes. These images of pictures by Lucio del Pezzo seem to correspond to this well known style of art:
