Italian to English translations [PRO]
Marketing - Automotive / Cars & Trucks
Italian term or phrase: run-out
I wonder whether they mean discontinued vehicles. I have never seen run-out used this way in English.

Three examples taken from the net:

Infatti, letteralmente run-out vuol dire abbandonare, esaurire.

agree  maryrose: Can't speak for other English speaking countries, but 'run-out period' is used very commonly in the vehicle industry here (Australia), especially in advertising, when cars are cheaper just before a new model comes out.
