Explanation: When you take out a life insurance policy it may have these options: \"caso morte\" which means \"in event of death\" the beneficiary you indicate will receive the compensation covered by your policy. If you don\'t die (caso vita) it becomes something you can cash in after paying each year for whatever number of years you defined in the contract. I have one and when it matures in 10 years the beneficiary is not me but my daughter, but it can be yourself and you can choose between a lump sum or installments. People often do it to integrate a pension. I found this: Caso vita Il \"caso vita\", come le \"polizze miste\" o il caso \"morte\", rientra nella categoria delle polizze vita. Con il termine \"caso vita\" si intendono le polizze abitualmente sottoscritte per garantirsi una copertura previdenziale integrativa.
