4 | national (fiscal) consolidation tax returns |

national (fiscal) consolidation tax returns Explanation: A group of companies can opt to file a single consolidated tax return, so the losses of some companies in the group can be offset against the profits of others. It is usually termed a "consolidato nazionale fiscale" or something similar which is why I have put "fiscal" in brackets. It is for the payment of taxes in Italy and that is why the adjective national is included. Obviously foreign companies, such as a French company, belonging to the Group will not be included because that company would not pay taxes in Italy but in the country where they are located. |
