I turned the whole sentence round and translated testimoniato with clearly demonstrated, which is hardly a literal pedestrian approach. It is difficult to do more when all you can see is one sentence and you don't really know what this precise "indirizzo" is. Personally, I hope I have managed to persuade Therese to try and stop fixating on specific words, and approach the underlying meaning and intent, but you know it aint easy.

Ok, we are dealing with Italian and yes this is in a formal register: however, what about going a bit easier in English. Aside from mere translation what about the cultural interpretation. The near literal translation of this phrase, though seemingly necessary, sounds stuffy - non offense to any suggestions made by colleagues. This entry is meant as a confrontation of ideas and experiences in translating this sort of materials. Maybe a good forum post. Cheers
