neutral  Prof. Angie G.: non so, if required mi sembra leggermente più forte di "ove si dia il caso" che dà più l'idea di "se necessario"//ihhihihi, giusto il tuo ragionamento :)

  -> "should it be the case" "if it is the case" is semantically more accurate, but sounds oh so heavy and wordy. Poi se non è il caso allora non sarà necessario.
