mi spiego meglio: la maggior parte dei corsi sarebbero annuali, quelli indicati semestrali - un controllo nel sito dell'universita' in questione dovrebbe chiarire il dubbio tra semestrale e seminario

I think it stands for SEMONARIO, that's Semoniary or tutorial

in your case I think it refers to SEMINAR as in universities (without the -Y, that obviously refers to a religion school),

SEMINARIO = SEMINAR (this is what I meant!)
