Italian to English translations [PRO] Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs | | Italian term or phrase: classe di assegnazione CU | I am translating a liability insurance for a car owner from Italian into English but I came across this sentence inside the document and I am not so sure what the abreviation stands for I was going to translate it as the insurance category CU. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

| | risk category CU | Explanation: CU is only used in Italy - it means Conversione Universale and it's an industry agreed-upon class scale to use in the Bonus/Malus insurance system. Because it's a specialized term that doesn't have an equivalent in English, I would leave it as is, just as your first impulse was to do! |
