In this transcript of results this is one of the subjects in the column listing subjects studied.
I understood that internal medicine and general surgery were two separate subjects and have never come across these terms combined.

I thought maybe: "internal medicine in general surgery" or "....in general practice" but do not know if this conveys the correct subject.

Internal Medicine and General Surgery
Explanation:
There are several hits on google with this combination - could be good to just keep it simple with the 'and', but maybe there is someone out there who has actually studied this and knows whether this is the actual term used?
