As phagocytose (verb) is a back formation, which Zareh Darakjian duly pointed out, I would prefer "phagocytized". This latter verb IMO stands out more clearly as a verb. However, I surmise that English would resort to rewording the whole sentence by centering it on a noun, here "phagocytosis". Thus: "A longer (or: more extended) circulation of the medicine is granted by such a process, which hinders liposome phagocytosis by the macrophages (or: macrophage complex). Maurizio |
