Italian term or phrase: pallone a ricadere
I'm looking for the correct term in English for "pallone a ricadere".

The text is about migration tests on sampling devices (in the anticancer drug field).
It's the "a ricadere" part that is giving me problems. I have come up with "reflux flask" but I'm not sure if it is accurate.

It is talking about disassembling the sampling devices and putting the various parts in this type of flask with 10 ml of various solutions (like distilled water) for a certain number of hours, after which chromatographic analysis is used to determine the specific migration.

Thanks all!

Basically, its a round bottomed flask which is heated to boiling point and the vapour enters a condenser and falls back down into the flask.
This is used for extreme extraction conditions.

Yes, I assume they are refluxing the components with various solvents to see what contaminants can be detected.

Asker: Thanks Alexander, I arrived at the same conclusion but in a very roundabout way and was not convinced.
