This is one of the controls which financial data entered on a computer screen is subject to. This control is specifically to check the Taxpayer's Code (Codice Fiscale). Does this mean that it checks each digit of the taxpayer code?

i know it is too literal but with no other contect it is difficult. A control character does exist but normally checks are done on passwords or user names and not on One character as this is too easy to copy or be fraudalent, that is why I would add the plural s
