Italian term or phrase: sottocommesse
I'm quite stumped with the term "commesse e sottocommesse". - I just can't find the equivalent in English for "sottocommesse". Thanks in advance for any help!

This is the sentence it's coming from: "Permettere di suddividere i progetti in commesse e sottocommesse coerenti con i criteri di pianificazione/programmazione;"

agree  xxxMr Murray: yes, unless you want to get into something messy like work order and subwork orders - I prefer contracts and subcontracts, especially for this case
